Emilia (voice-over):
A few weeks later… I was in Vancouver.
[Door opens]
Real Estate Agent:
So, this is the apartment.
Emilia:
Oh… it’s smaller than I expected.
Agent:
Yes, it’s a studio.
But it’s very well located.
Emilia:
Right… I see.
Agent:
Here you have the kitchen area,
and over there is the living space.
Emilia:
Where’s the bedroom?
Agent:
It’s all in one space.
That’s how studios work.
Emilia:
Oh… okay.
Agent:
There’s a small bathroom here,
and a closet behind the door.
Emilia:
I mean… it’s nice.
Just… small.
Agent:
That’s quite common in Vancouver.
Emilia:
Yeah… I guess I’ll have to get used to it.
Agent:
You’ll need a few essentials, of course.
Emilia:
Like what?
Agent:
Well… probably a bed, a sofa, maybe a small dining table.
Emilia:
And a desk. I’ll need somewhere to work.
Agent:
Definitely.
Emilia:
I may also need shelves… and maybe a lamp.
Agent:
Very practical.
[Small pause]
Emilia:
It feels strange.
Agent:
How so?
Emilia:
I don’t know…
A few weeks ago I was in Santiago.
And now I’m here, looking at my new life.
Agent:
That’s called a big adjustment.
Emilia:
Yeah…
[Soft city ambience]
Emilia (voice-over):
It wasn’t what I had imagined.
But maybe… that was the beginning.

¿Qué piensas sobre los efectos de sonido que acompañan al audio?
Me gustan, le dan realismo.
No me gustan, me distraen
